Ms. Banihashemi received her B.S. Degree in Biological Sciences from University of California, Irvine, where she made the Dean’s Honor List, was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, and an Honoree at the Undergraduate Research Symposium.
Ms. Banihashemi's experience in the legal field predated her becoming an attorney. She began her career as a legal assistant in a small Encino law firm at the age of 22, and worked her way up to become a legal assistant at Quinn, Emanuel, Urquhart, Oliver & Hedges, where she was exposed to, and participated in, working with top trial attorneys handling multi-million dollar cases.
Even while she was working full time in the legal field, Ms. Banihashemi managed to attend law school. In 2001, while working full time at Quinn Emanuel, she entered Southwestern University School of Law as an evening student. During her time at Southwestern, Ms. Banihashemi was chosen as an Advocate for her law school's trial advocacy team, enabling her to gain valuable trial skills to be utilized in her future as a trial lawyer. Ms. Banihashemi's superior trial skills became apparent when she was awarded top honors at the Stanford Mock Trial competition in 2005.
Ms. Banihashemi handles all aspects of family law, criminal law, personal injury and civil litigation. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and she is admitted to practice law through the State Bar of California.
Ms. Banihashemi is dedicated and involved in her community and profession. To Ms. Banihashemi, the practice of law is a realization of her lifelong dream that she is able to live out every day.
